Rotimi Amaechi, the former minister of transportation, stated that President Bola Tinubu would not easily relinquish power to the younger generation without resistance.
He also noted that politicians often take drastic steps to secure electoral victories.

Amaechi, who is also the former governor of Rivers State, made these remarks during a national conference in Abuja on strengthening Nigeria’s democracy, organized by the African Centre for Leadership, Strategy, and Development.
He emphasized the importance of political vigilance, warning that power is something that must be fought for, and encouraged Nigerians to protect their votes if they seek to ensure credible leadership.
