Trump Gives Hamas Ultimatum To Release Hostages

U.S. President Donald Trump has issued an ultimatum to the Palestinian militant group Hamas, demanding the release of all remaining hostages held in Gaza or face severe consequences.

Trump expressed support for ending the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas, which began on January 19, if the hostages were not freed by “Saturday at 12 o’clock,” although he did not clarify the time zone.

Trump stated that if Hamas failed to comply, “all hell is going to break out,” while also noting that the decision ultimately lies with Israel.

He further added that he did not expect Hamas to comply, speculating that many hostages may already be dead, calling it a “great human tragedy.”

Hamas had previously announced it was postponing the release of more hostages, citing Israel’s failure to uphold the ceasefire agreement.

The halt to the hostages’ release threatens the fragile ceasefire, with Israel denying any breach of the agreement.
