The spokesperson for the Nigeria Police Force (NPF), ACP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has issued a warning to Nigerians about the dangers of illiteracy, describing it as a contagious condition that could potentially lead to imprisonment.
The Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO) shared this message in a cryptic post on his Facebook page on Tuesday afternoon.

ACP Adejobi wrote: “Illiteracy is a contagious disease and a big problem. It can lead one into jail, if not well managed.”
The Police spokesperson, however, did not provide further details on the message, which led social media users to criticize him.
They accused the Police Force of potentially planning illegal arrests, suppressing public opinion, and engaging in other actions that undermine democracy.
