Represented by Tijani Gazali, the Director of Civil Appeals in the ministry, the AGF emphasized that despite the Supreme Court’s ruling and constitutional safeguards against state governors’ interference with local government councils, certain governors and their state assemblies persist in dissolving elected local government bodies without adhering to constitutional requirements.
He also criticized state-level Attorneys General and Commissioners for Justice for failing to provide proper legal counsel to their governors and urged for severe penalties against any governor continuing such unlawful practices.
