Dangote Crashes Petrol Price Below N890 Per Litre

Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a reduction in the ex-depot (gantry) price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), commonly known as petrol, by N65.00—from N890 to N825 per litre—effective February 27, 2025.

According to the refinery, this price adjustment aims to provide relief to Nigerians ahead of the Ramadan season while also supporting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s economic recovery efforts by easing financial pressures on the populace.

This marks the second petrol price reduction in February 2025, following an earlier N60.00 decrease at the beginning of the month.

Additionally, during the December 2024 festive season, the refinery had reduced the PMS price by N70.50—from N970 to N899.50 per litre—to help ease the cost of living for Nigerians during the holidays.

With the latest reduction, Dangote Refinery management outlined the new retail prices at partner outlets:

– **MRS Holdings stations** will sell petrol at:
– N860 per litre in Lagos
– N870 per litre in the South-West
– N880 per litre in the North
– N890 per litre in the South-South and South-East

– **AP (Ardova Petroleum) and Heyden stations** will offer the product at:
– N865 per litre in Lagos
– N875 per litre in the South-West
– N885 per litre in the North
– N895 per litre in the South-South and South-East

Dangote Refinery reassured the public of a stable supply of petroleum products, stating that it has sufficient reserves to meet local demand while also producing a surplus for export to boost Nigeria’s foreign exchange earnings.

The company urged marketers to support this initiative to ensure that Nigerians fully benefit from the price reduction.
