The Lagos High Court in Ikeja has ruled that all members of the Lagos State House of Assembly be included as parties in the lawsuit filed by Hon. Mudashiru Obasa.
Justice Yetunde Pinheiro has also postponed the hearing of all pending applications in the case to March 7.
Obasa had taken legal action to contest his removal by at least 36 lawmakers on January 13, 2025.

In an application dated February 12, 2025, filed by his lawyer, Chief Afolabi Fashanu (SAN), Obasa claimed he was ousted from his position while he was out of the country.
The legal teams in the case include Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN) Tayo Oyetibo, leading Bimbo Akeredolu (SAN) and other lawyers in representing Hon. Mojisola Meranda.
Additionally, Femi Falana (SAN) is leading Muiz Banire (SAN) and other counsels for the 36 lawmakers, while Senior Advocates Olu Daramola and Dada Awosika are representing other parties seeking to be joined in the suit.
