How 19 Senators Were Stopped From Travelling – Jimkuta

Senator David Jimkuta, who represents Taraba South Senatorial District, has revealed that 19 senators were denied landing permits at Kashimbilla Airport in Taraba State.

He shared this information during his Senatorial Empowerment Programme in Wukari on Tuesday, where he distributed various items to his constituents.

Jimkuta explained that the lawmakers were part of a Senate delegation planned to accompany him to the event.

The senator, who chairs the Senate Committee on Federal Capital Territory Area Councils, expressed his disappointment that the lawmakers were unable to attend, as it would have allowed them to assess the needs of the people and provide necessary support.

He also urged the beneficiaries of the items not to sell them, but to use them to improve their livelihoods.

Additionally, Jimkuta pledged to provide logistics to security agencies in order to enhance safety in the district.

The Chairman of the occasion, Chief David Kente, praised Jimkuta for his empowerment initiative, calling it “unprecedented in the history of the district.”

According to the News Agency of Nigeria, the items distributed included cars, motorcycles, tricycles, sewing machines, deep freezers, and vulcanizing machines, among others.
