The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has approved the formation of the South-South Zonal Caretaker Committee, which will oversee the party’s affairs in the region starting from Monday, March 10, 2025.
A statement issued on Friday by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Debo Ologunagba, explained that this decision was made in line with the provisions of the PDP Constitution (as amended in 2017).
The move aims to prevent a leadership vacuum and ensure the smooth continuation of the party’s activities in the South-South zone after the current Zonal Executive’s tenure expires on Sunday, March 9, 2025.
