Amaewhule Cannot Deny My Effort To Reach Him, No Power Lasts Forever – Fubara

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has warned that no political power lasts forever, as tensions continue to escalate in the state.

Speaking at the commissioning of the Bori Zonal Hospital in Khana Local Government Area, Fubara reiterated his commitment to prioritizing the welfare of the people despite the ongoing crisis with the Rivers State House of Assembly.

Addressing the legislative standoff, he stated that in adherence to the Supreme Court’s ruling, he made multiple attempts to engage with the Speaker and other lawmakers regarding the budget presentation.

He claimed that despite sending WhatsApp messages and making direct efforts to establish contact, he was denied entry to the Assembly complex.

Fubara described the situation as unfortunate but expressed his readiness to return to the Assembly when its members are possibly instructed to allow him in.

He reminded politicians that no power is permanent, emphasizing that what truly matters is how it is used.

Warning against the misuse of authority, he noted that it ultimately leads to downfall.

He reaffirmed his commitment to exercising restraint, recognizing that life extends beyond political office.

Encouraging his supporters, especially the youths, to stay strong, he assured them that they had not lost the battle.

He expressed confidence that, in due time, God would grant them victory.

Speaking on the newly commissioned hospital, Fubara described it as a true representation of good governance.

He announced that his administration is remodeling zonal hospitals across the state to reduce pressure on teaching hospitals.

The Bori Zonal Hospital, which had been abandoned for over eight years, was completed within nine months by indigenous contractors, marking a significant achievement in the state’s healthcare development.
