The Rivers State House of Assembly has leveled allegations of gross misconduct against Governor Siminalayi Fubara and his deputy, Ngozi Odu.
In a letter addressed to Speaker Martin Amaewhule, 26 members of the Assembly accused the governor of several offenses, including reckless and unconstitutional spending of public funds, obstructing the Assembly’s functions, and appointing individuals to government positions without undergoing the necessary screening and confirmation process, among other violations.
