Vice Admiral Ibok-ete Ibas (retd.), the Sole Administrator for Rivers State, has arrived in Port Harcourt to begin his duties.
He landed at the Port Harcourt International Airport around 11:25 am on Thursday and was greeted by officials and security personnel.
Accompanied by the state Commissioner of Police and the Assistant Inspector General of Police, Zone 16, Ibas immediately went to Government House, Port Harcourt.
He is currently holding a closed-door meeting with senior security officers, a Federal Government delegation, and state government officials.
He was sworn in by President Tinubu on Wednesday.
