Things To Know About New NNPCL Boss, Ojulari

President Bola Tinubu has restructured the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Limited, appointing Bashir Ojulari as the new Group Chief Executive Officer and Ahmadu Kida as the Non-Executive Chairman.

This decision, conveyed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information & Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, was made in accordance with Section 59, subsection 2 of the Petroleum Industry Act, 2021.

The restructuring aims to improve the company’s operational efficiency, restore investor confidence, boost local content, and drive economic growth through gas commercialization and diversification.

The move resulted in the removal of the previous Chairman, Pius Akinyelure, and Group CEO, Mele Kyari, along with all other board members appointed in November 2023.
