Shehu Sani Rejects Appointment As Miss World Pageant Judge

Shehu Sani, a former senator from Kaduna Central, declined an invitation to be a judge at the Miss World Nigeria Beauty Pageant, scheduled for April 4th in Lagos.

Event organizer and Sani’s friend, former senator Ben Bruce, had announced Sani’s appointment via social media on Wednesday.

He stated : “Hearty congratulations to my good friend, Shehu Sani, on his appointment as a judge for the Miss World Nigeria Beauty Pageant, taking place on April 4, , at the Federal Palace Hotel.

On Thursday, Shehu Sani used his X (formerly Twitter) account to decline the invitation, expressing gratitude to Ben Bruce for the honor but explaining his reasons for refusing the role.

He said, “My wives will not be happy if I serve as a Judge.

“I have not been able to pass judgment on the most beautiful between my wives let alone those I don’t know.

“I don’t have the knowledge or experience in such events.

“This is Sallah period where we spend time with family members and friends. Thank you for the honor and wish them well,” Sani said.

Shehu Sani apologized for any inconvenience his refusal may have caused Ben Bruce and the other organizers.
