IGP Withdraws Invitation To Sanusi

The Inspector-General of Police, Kayode Egbetokun, has canceled the invitation earlier issued to the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi.

Instead, he has instructed the Kano State Police Command to obtain the Emir’s statement within the state concerning the matter.

According to police spokesperson Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the decision to withdraw the invitation followed the intervention of certain national stakeholders.

Egbetokun emphasized that the move aligns with the police’s dedication to preventing the politicization or misinterpretation of its actions.
