Tragedy As Four Nigerian Gospel Singers Die In Auto Crash

Tragically, four well-known Nigerian gospel artists died in a fatal car crash on the Ikorodu/Sagamu Road in Ogun State.

Florence Okupe, the Ogun State Commander and Public Information Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), identified the victims in a statement as Evangelist Ayodeji Kekerejesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina.

Okupe explained that the accident happened when the vehicle carrying the gospel singers collided with another vehicle.

She added that the singers, who were from the same family and traveling in one of the two vehicles involved, died immediately at the scene.

Offering her condolences to the bereaved families, Okupe urged drivers to avoid excessive speed.

This incident has plunged the Nigerian gospel music community into mourning, as the promising lives of these young singers were cut short.
