Shamsudeen Bala Mohammed, son of Bauchi State Governor Bala Mohammed, has stated that it would be challenging for his father to back former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s presidential ambitions.
He made this known in a post on his X handle, @shamsudeen_bala, on Friday while replying to a user who expressed hope that Atiku and Governor Mohammed would join forces to revive the PDP.
Shamsudeen accused Atiku of undermining his father’s re-election campaign by using influential figures in Bauchi to oppose him.

A user with the handle Abdul Azeez Naibi Abubakar said,” My wish now is to see Daddy Atiku and Bala Mohammed work together and reset the People Democratic Party, PDP.
But responding, Mr Mohammed said, “Honestly, it would be difficult. Because even if he wins, there is nothing he would do for us rather than settle scores.
“And again, he didn’t support us in 2023. He supported Air Marshal [APC candidate].
“He also deployed Bauchi elites to tackle us. We escaped narrowly. And he respects and values us.
“He has consistently shown us that we are not worth dialoguing with.”
