PDP Governors Dump Anyanwu, Ude-Okoye, Appoints Acting National Secretary

In response to the recent Supreme Court ruling regarding the secretaryship of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), PDP governors have declared their rejection of Senator Samuel Anyanwu and Sunday Ude-Okoye as National Secretary.

Consequently, the party has designated the Deputy National Secretary, Setonji Koshoedo, to serve as the acting National Secretary.

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, the Chairman of the PDP Governors’ Forum, announced this decision to journalists via a communique.

He stated that Koshoedo’s appointment is temporary, allowing the South East Zone to nominate a permanent National Secretary, who will be presented to the party at the next National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting.

Furthermore, the PDP governors reaffirmed their opposition to the declaration of a state of emergency in Rivers State, emphasizing that they have already initiated legal proceedings to challenge the decision.
