Governor Dauda Lawal of Zamfara State has dismissed speculations that he intends to switch allegiance to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a message posted on his verified Facebook and X (formerly Twitter) accounts, the Governor reaffirmed his dedication to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), stating that he is a “bona fide member” of the party.

The post reads: “I am Dauda Lawal, a bona fide member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). Disregard the fake news from detractors determined to distract us from the RESCUE MISSION we have embarked on.”
Governor Lawal stressed that his primary focus is on fulfilling the mandate entrusted to him by the people of Zamfara State and not on engaging in political distractions.
This clarification is a response to widespread speculation triggered by reports suggesting the Governor was contemplating joining the APC.
