Hundreds of individuals who support the suspended Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, staged a protest on Tuesday, demanding his return to office.
Wearing black attire and holding placards with messages like, “Together we stand for Governor Sim Fubara”, “We want back our Governor, we all voted for”, and “Governor Fubara is the pride of Rivers People”, the protesters began their march from Aggrey road in Old Port Harcourt Township.

This demonstration is the most recent in a series of protests, both for and against the suspended officials, that have occurred in the state since March 18th.
On that date, President Bola Tinubu declared a State of Emergency in Rivers State and suspended Governor Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and the members of the State House of Assembly.
