Preliminary investigations indicate that two acquaintances of Wabi’s 24-year-old son, Abdulgafar Isa Mohammed, are the alleged perpetrators.

The suspects are identified as Ahmad Abdulkadir (alias Abba) and Faruk Malami (alias Ajebo), who reportedly broke into Wabi’s home around 3 am.

In a further development, one of the suspects, Malami (Ajebo), was found unconscious at the scene, believed to be the result of retaliation, and later died in the hospital.

Police have detained Abdulgafar Isa Mohammed for questioning, stating that he is cooperating and providing information relevant to the investigation.

The Bauchi State Police Command has assured that a thorough investigation is underway to determine the circumstances of the incident and bring all responsible parties to justice.
