Nigerian social media influencer VeryDarkMan (VDM), whose real name is Martins Vincent Otse, has been arrested by the police in Abuja.
Reports suggest his arrest is linked to his public criticism of Guaranty Trust Bank (GTBank) regarding alleged unauthorized transactions on his mother’s account.

His lawyer, Barrister Deji Adeyanju, confirmed the arrest on Twitter on Friday, stating that police officers apprehended VeryDarkMan at Area 3 in Abuja. Adeyanju condemned the arrest, tweeting that “Demanding accountability is not a crime.”
In a subsequent update, Adeyanju added that VDM was arrested with a friend named C Park, but his mother was not taken into custody.
