President Bola Tinubu appeared to indicate a shift in his political alignment in Anambra State during his recent visit to Awka, the state capital, potentially distancing himself from the local All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter.
During his concluding remarks, President Tinubu expressed strong appreciation and praise for Governor Charles Soludo, commending him for establishing a robust foundation for Anambra State’s focused and consistent growth.

Speaking at Dr. Alex Ekwueme Square after inaugurating several projects completed by Governor Soludo’s administration, Tinubu referred to Soludo as a friend and ally who had been an advisor since the beginning of his own administration.
He acknowledged Soludo’s performance, particularly his successful oversight of the nation’s bank consolidation, stating, “And the nation was better for it. He’s a progressive and we are working together from the centre. So we are comfortable with him. With him, Anambra is on the rise.”
