The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has initiated a search for seven inmates who escaped from the Medium Security Custodial Centre in Ilesa, Osun State.
The escape occurred after heavy rainfall damaged the facility’s perimeter wall.
Abubakar Umar, the NCoS spokesman, stated on Tuesday in Abuja that the Controller General of the NCoS, Sylvester Nwakuche, has ordered an immediate investigation into the incident.
