The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Wuse, Abuja, has been sealed off by officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).
The building was initially sealed around 2:05 PM on Monday.
FCTA officials arrived and requested to speak with those in charge.
Before contact could be made, the building was sealed.
This action sparked protests, and after approximately 15 minutes of back-and-forth, the building was temporarily unsealed to allow staff to move out their cars and personal belongings before being sealed again.

Last week, the FCTA announced its intent to repossess 4,794 properties revoked due to non-payment of ground rent, with arrears ranging from 10 to 43 years.
This was confirmed during a Friday press briefing by Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant to the FCT Minister on Public Communications and Social Media, alongside Chijioke Nwankwoeze, Director of Land Administration, and Mukhtar Galadima, Director of the Department of Development Control.
At the briefing, they stated that ownership of these revoked properties—located in the Central Area, Garki I and II, Wuse I and II, Asokoro, Maitama, and Guzape districts—had already reverted to the FCTA. Starting Monday, May 26, 2025, the government would begin exercising its ownership rights over these properties, strictly adhering to existing laws and regulations, without considering previous ownership.
The Director of Development Control explained that affected properties would be sealed and access restricted from Monday.
The FCTA will decide their future use in due course.
Responding to claims of court injunctions, the Director of Lands confirmed there were no court decisions restricting the FCTA from performing its lawful duties regarding these properties.
Nwankwoeze also mentioned that the FCTA is compiling records of compliance and non-compliance for title holders who defaulted on ground rent payments for one to ten years, who were given a 21-day grace period.
The government plans to act accordingly once these records are compiled and analyzed.
He reiterated, “Recall that on March 18, 2025, we informed you of the revocation of 4,794 land titles… These 4,794 properties were among the total of 8,375 land titles on which ground rent was not paid from one year to 43 years.”
He concluded by stating that, following the revocations, ownership reverted to the FCTA, and as of Monday, May 26, 2025, the FCTA would begin taking possession of these properties through relevant government agencies.
