FG Declares Holidays To Mark Eid-Ul-Adha Celebrations

The Federal Government has declared Friday, June 6, and Monday, June 9, 2025, as public holidays to commemorate this year’s Eid-ul-Adha celebrations.

Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government in a statement released Monday by the ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Magdalene Ajani.

Tunji-Ojo extended his congratulations to all Muslim Ummah both in Nigeria and abroad on this occasion.

He urged the Muslim faithful to continue embracing the spirit of sacrifice and faith exemplified by Prophet Ibrahim (Peace be upon Him), and to use this period to pray for a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria.

He also assured Nigerians that the “people-oriented reforms and initiatives carried out, in furtherance of the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Tinubu’s Administration, is to restore Nigeria on the path of progress.”

The statement concluded with the Minister wishing the Muslim Ummah a happy Eid-ul-Adha celebration and encouraging all Nigerians to unite with the current administration in its efforts to restore Nigeria’s glory as a great nation.
