Senator Smart Adeyemi, who previously represented Kogi West, has announced the passing of his mother, Mrs. Victoria Oyeyemi Adeyemi (nee Ibilola).
She died on Wednesday morning at her Abuja residence.
Dr. Aliyu Badaki, National President of the Iyara Development Association, issued a statement on Thursday, mourning the loss of a matriarch, entrepreneur, and virtuous mother for the Iyara community.
“She will always be remembered for her love and passion towards the development of Iyara,” Badaki stated.
He extended the community’s condolences to Senator Adeyemi and his family, praying for her eternal rest.
“May her soul rest in peace. Our condolences to the entire family, especially the Distinguished Senator Smart Adeyemi and the community in general. Adieu, mama,” the statement concluded.
