Sunday afternoon, President Bola Tinubu informed Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu that he was no longer angry with him and had forgiven “all his sins.”
This reconciliation occurred after the President met with members of the Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), who came to plead on behalf of the governor and others who might have displeased the President.
GAC Chairman Alhaji Tajudeen Olusi welcomed the President to Lagos, acknowledging the President’s apparent displeasure with some individuals in the state, particularly the governor, and requested mercy.

According to multiple sources, President Tinubu responded, “It’s all over now. All is forgiven,” assuring everyone present that he was no longer angry with anyone, especially Sanwo-Olu.
At this point, Sanwo-Olu and other GAC members reportedly prostrated themselves before the President, showing remorse and appeasement.
One source told THISDAY that the meeting did not involve either the President or the governor explaining their differences; rather, the GAC members simply pleaded for mercy for the governor, which the President granted.
