Drama As Oshiomhole Shuts Down Lagos Airport Terminal After Missing His Flight [VIDEO]

There was drama Wednesday morning at Lagos’s Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) when Senator Adams Oshiomhole, former Governor of Edo State, allegedly forced the closure of the Zulu Terminal at the General Aviation Terminal (GAT) after arriving late for his flight to Abuja.

The incident, which some Nigerians on social media have criticized as a blatant display of political entitlement, involved a viral video showing the Edo North senator arguing with airport staff.

According to SaharaReporters, airport sources stated that Oshiomhole obstructed the entrance to the Zulu Terminal after missing his scheduled 6:30 am Air Peace flight.

Eyewitnesses reported that instead of accepting responsibility for his tardiness, Oshiomhole completely blocked the terminal entrance, causing a traffic jam that stranded and delayed many passengers.

Sources indicated that the terminal manager’s repeated attempts to resolve the disruption were met with stubborn refusal from Oshiomhole, necessitating the intervention of the regional manager.

A management meeting was quickly convened to appease the senator and persuade him to allow normal operations to resume.

Witnesses described the situation as chaotic and embarrassing for airline and airport personnel, who were seen imploring the senator to de-escalate the conflict.

Air Peace reportedly refused to accommodate him, citing his late arrival and strict adherence to check-in regulations.

A source familiar with the incident told reporters, “He missed the flight. That’s the simple truth. He wanted them to delay the flight for him, but Air Peace refused.”

Another source added, “Oshiomhole blocked the terminal entrance completely until the regional manager came to resolve the issue. The terminal manager made all attempts to resolve it, but Oshiomhole rebuffed everything so he could not resolve the issue. There was a management meeting called to beg Oshiomhole. He disrupted flights by shutting down the Zulu Terminal. The situation was so tense that a management meeting was hurriedly convened to plead with the senator to step aside so that operations could resume.”
