Nigeria Among 36 Countries Facing Potential U.S. Visa Ban [FULL LIST]

U.S. President Donald Trump is reportedly considering new travel restrictions that could impact citizens from Nigeria and 35 other countries, according to a State Department memo cited by The Washington Post.

This potential move would expand an existing travel ban announced earlier this month. The countries on the proposed list have been identified due to concerns such as:

  • Lack of reliable identity or civil documents.
  • Widespread government fraud.
  • High numbers of visa overstays.
  • In some instances, the absence of a cooperative central government.

These 36 countries have been given 60 days to meet new U.S. benchmarks, with a preliminary action plan expected by 8 AM on Wednesday.

The memo was signed by Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
