Dangote Refinery Reduces Petrol Price Again

In a second price reduction within a week, Dangote Refinery has lowered its ex-depot price for Premium Motor Spirit (petrol) from N840 per litre to N820 per litre, effective immediately.

This follows a previous reduction last week from N880 to N840 per litre.

Anthony Chiejina, spokesperson for the Dangote Group, confirmed this latest price adjustment in Lagos.

He noted that the earlier reduction to N840 per litre was a response to global crude oil market volatility, particularly the increase in crude prices during a 12-day geopolitical crisis in the Middle East.

With a commitment to ensuring a steady supply of petroleum products, more independent marketers are joining Dangote Refinery’s distribution network.

Existing partners such as MRS, Heyden, Ardova, AP, Hyde, Optima, and Techno Oil are expected to reflect this new pricing at their retail outlets.

Additionally, several new marketing companies, including TotalEnergies, Garima Petroleum, Sunbeth Energies, Sobaz Nigeria Ltd., Virgin Forest Energy, Sixxco Oil Ltd., N.U. Synergy Ltd., Soroman Nigeria Ltd., Jezco Oil Nigeria Ltd., Jengre, Cocean, Kifayat, Triumph Golden, Sifem Global, Riquest, and Mamu Oil, have been added to the growing list of distributors.
