Boss Mustapha, the immediate past Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), has refuted President Bola Tinubu’s assertion that he was instrumental in making former President Muhammadu Buhari president in 2015.
Mustapha contended that the merger (that formed the APC) only contributed an additional three million votes to Buhari’s pre-existing twelve million votes from the North.
This statement directly challenges Tinubu’s 2022 declaration in Abeokuta, made during the APC’s presidential primary preparations, where he unequivocally claimed responsibility for Buhari’s presidency, his nomination of Professor Yemi Osinbajo as running mate, and the election of Mr. Dapo Abiodun as Ogun State governor.
