Mamman Daura, a nephew of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, has been admitted to a hospital in London, UK, where he is currently recovering.
This was disclosed on Monday by Stanley Nkwocha, spokesperson for Vice President Kashim Shettima, following the Vice President’s visit to London to escort Buhari’s remains back to Nigeria.

Nkwocha stated: “On behalf of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima, upon arrival in London, met with and condoled with the family of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari in London.”
He added that “The Vice President also visited the late President’s nephew, Malam Mamman Daura, who is recuperating in a London hospital.”
Daura was known for his close relationship with Buhari and was considered a prominent member of the influential “cabal” during the late former president’s tenure.
