In a deeply emotional moment, Buhari’s lifeless body—wrapped in the green-white-green of the Nigerian flag—was gently removed from its casket and laid to rest at precisely 5:50 p.m., surrounded by his grieving children, relatives, and close associates.

The burial was marked by full military honours, including gun salutes and ceremonial processions, in recognition of his role as a former Commander-in-Chief.

Prior to the interment, Islamic funeral rites were observed, in accordance with his faith and tradition.
