The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board (CDCFIB) has announced a temporary suspension of access to its recruitment portal.
In a statement released on Wednesday, the board indicated that the portal, https://recruitment.cdcfib.gov.ng, will be unavailable until Monday, July 21, 2025.
This shutdown is necessary for enhancing system performance as part of ongoing efforts.

The platform, which officially opened on July 14, is being used for recruitment into the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.
According to CDCFIB, this temporary closure aims to improve the portal’s capacity to manage a large volume of applications, thereby ensuring a transparent and seamless recruitment process.
“We appreciate the enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies and are committed to ensuring a fair and transparent recruitment process,” the statement noted.
The recruitment exercise was initially set for June 26 but was rescheduled to July 14, with an expected closing date of August 4, 2025.
However, the CDCFIB has not yet confirmed if this temporary suspension will impact the overall application deadline.
