Recruitment Portal For Civil Defence, Correctional Service, Fire Service And Immigration Back Online After Glitch

The Civil Defence, Immigration and Prisons Service Board (CDIPB) has announced that its recruitment application portal reopened today, Monday, July 21, 2025.

Applicants who had successfully initiated their applications are now advised to retrieve and complete them.

In a press statement released Sunday night, the agency acknowledged the public outcry caused by interruptions during the initial registration period.

These issues, which prevented many applicants from completing their process, were attributed by the agency to a “high volume of applicants.”

On July 17, CDCFIB had announced a temporary suspension of its online recruitment portal.

This suspension was a measure to enhance the portal’s performance and ensure a smoother application experience for prospective candidates.

The portal, which initially opened on Monday, July 14, is facilitating recruitment into four key paramilitary agencies: the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), the Nigerian Correctional Service, the Federal Fire Service, and the Nigeria Immigration Service.

The CDCFIB expressed its appreciation for the “enthusiasm and interest of young Nigerians to serve their country through these vital agencies,” reaffirming its commitment to “a fair and transparent recruitment process.”

The agency also sincerely apologized for the previous interruptions, explaining they were necessary to enhance the portal’s capacity to accommodate all prospective applicants and ensure a seamless, transparent, and equitable recruitment process.
