The Super Falcons of Nigeria have arrived back in Nigeria from Morocco, fresh off securing their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
The team landed at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja aboard a chartered flight at approximately 2:26 p.m. today.
The team received a rousing welcome upon their arrival, met by enthusiastic fans and government officials who had patiently waited for hours at the airport to greet their heroines.
Among the officials present were the Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Culture and Tourism, Hanatu Musawa, and the Minister for Women Affairs, Imaan Sulaiman-Ibrahim.
