The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress National Integrity Movement (ANIM), Mr. Sadiq Saadu Fakai, has resigned from his position.
In a statement announcing the development, ANIM’s Deputy National Leader, Alh. Abubakar Adamu Musa, acknowledged Fakai’s constitutional right to freedom of association and political affiliation.
Musa asserted that while the resignation is regrettable, it will not impact the movement’s structure, integrity, or commitment to the party’s ideals.
He maintained that ANIM remains “intact and functional,” with Deputy National Leaders Dr. Yetunde Adeniji (South) and Hon. Abubakar Sadiq Adamu Musa (North) providing effective guidance.
Musa added that consultations are ongoing to fill the leadership vacancy in accordance with the group’s constitutional provisions.
The movement has urged its members across all 36 states, the FCT, and the diaspora to remain calm and supportive of the internal processes aimed at strengthening the organization for better service to the party and the nation.
“The APC National Integrity Movement has not been dissolved. Its name, structure, and operational essence remain unchanged. Our loyalty to the APC, its leadership, and the vision of a prosperous and united Nigeria remains unwavering. We move forward with renewed strength and clarity of purpose,” he noted.
