Kano State Governor Abba Yusuf has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Sadiq Gentle, a Senior Special Reporter with the Kano State Ministry of History and Culture.
Gentle died on Thursday at Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital from severe injuries he sustained during a brutal machete attack by suspected hoodlums who invaded his home on Sunday night.
In a condolence message from his spokesperson, Sunusi DawakinTofa, Governor Yusuf described Gentle as a “dedicated and patriotic social media professional” and a “man of peace and integrity.”

The governor condemned the killing in the strongest terms, calling it “heinous, barbaric, and utterly unacceptable,” and “an affront to our collective humanity.”
Governor Yusuf extended his condolences to Gentle’s family, friends, and professional colleagues.
He also directed security agencies to take immediate action to find and arrest those responsible for the murder.
