The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has appointed Jackie Wayas as its Deputy National Publicity Secretary, a move seen as bringing new perspectives to the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Wayas is a political strategist with experience in grassroots mobilization and digital advocacy, and she previously played a significant role in the Labour Party’s 2023 presidential campaign and the “Obidient movement.”
Her appointment, which will see her manage the party’s media engagements and public image, is viewed as part of a shift in Nigerian politics towards leadership that emphasizes competence and innovation.
