President Bola Tinubu has nominated Louis Odion and Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu as executive commissioners for the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC).
According to a statement from presidential spokesman Bayo Onanuga, these nominations are subject to confirmation by the Senate.
Louis Odion, a veteran journalist from Edo State, was nominated as the Executive Commissioner for Operations.
He previously served as a senior technical assistant to former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and as the Commissioner for Information in Edo State.

Odion holds Master’s degrees in Modern War Studies from the UK and International Law and Diplomacy from the University of Lagos.
Ummasalma Isiyaku Rabiu, 35, from Kano State, was nominated as the Executive Commissioner for Corporate Services.
She is a “committed grassroots politician” who founded the Usir Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on education and skills development.
The statement notes that she has a reputation for “championing inclusive governance, and promoting youth and women’s political participation.”
