Following his recent encounter with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Senator Aminu Waziri Tambuwal received a “rousing welcome” from residents of Sokoto on Thursday.
Videos shared via his official X (formerly Twitter) handle showed “cheering crowds lining the streets” as the former Sokoto State governor returned to the city.

In a post accompanying the footage, Tambuwal described the reception as a gesture he deeply values.
He wrote, “I am deeply grateful to the good people of Sokoto for the warm reception and outpouring of love upon my arrival in Sokoto this afternoon. This is one honour among many that I cherish and will never take for granted. -AWT.”
