By-Elections: Seats Won By APC [FULL LIST]

Nigerians went to the polls on Saturday for “by-elections” in 16 constituencies across 13 states to fill vacant legislative seats.

The “by-elections” were conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and were necessary due to the resignation or death of members of national and state assemblies.

According to findings based on news reports, the All Progressives Congress (APC) won 12 of the 16 “by-elections” held.

The elections in Zamfara State, however, were declared inconclusive.

The constituencies won by the APC include:

  • Remo Federal Constituency (Ogun State)
  • Edo Central (Edo State)
  • Garki-Babura Federal Constituency (Jigawa State)
  • Basawa Constituency (Kaduna State)
  • Munya Constituency (Niger State)
  • Ghari Tsanyawa (Kano State)
  • Zaria Kewaye (Kaduna State)
  • Ovia Federal Constituency (Edo State)
  • Chikun/Kajuru Federal Constituency (Kaduna State)
  • Ganye Constituency (Adamawa State)
  • Edo South Senatorial District (Edo State)
  • Dekina-Okura II Federal Constituency (Kogi)
