Ex-Plateau Military Administrator, Senator Mana Is Dead

Colonel Muhammad Mana, a former military administrator of Plateau State and a Senator who represented Adamawa North, has died.

He passed away on Friday evening in Abuja, two days after reportedly being discharged from a hospital.

A family member, Abdurrahman B Kwaccham, who is also the Sarkin Fulani of Mubi, confirmed the death to the Daily Trust.

Kwaccham stated that his late brother left behind “children and wives,” and that the funeral prayer would take place at 2 pm on Saturday at the Abuja National Mosque.

Hailing from Maiha Local Government Area in Adamawa State, Mana served as the military administrator of Plateau State between December 1993 and August 1996 under the regime of General Sani Abacha.

He later served as the commander of the presidential guard brigade during the administration of General Abdussalami Abubakar before being elected as Senator for Adamawa North in 2007.
