FCT Head Of Service, Adayilo Is dead

The Pioneer Head of the Civil Service of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mrs. Grace Adayilo, has died.

Her death was confirmed by her Special Assistant on Media, Anthony Odey, who stated, “Yes, please,” in a text message to The Punch.

Adayilo reportedly passed away in the “early hours of Monday, 1st of September, 2025.”

No further details surrounding the circumstances of her death were provided, and as of the time of the report, no official statements had been made by her family or the FCT Administration.

Mrs. Adayilo was appointed by President Bola Tinubu on October 6, 2024, making history as both the first Head of the Civil Service and the first female to hold the position.

Prior to her historic appointment, she served as the Permanent Secretary of the Agriculture and Rural Development Secretariat.
