Police Reveals Owner Of Truck Involved In Enugu Accident

The police in Enugu State have confirmed that the truck involved in a fatal accident last week “does not belong to Dangote Industries Limited (DIL),” but to “Visco Investment Global Limited,” a third-party operator.

The statement from the police command confirmed that two separate crashes occurred on September 3, 2025, along the Enugu–Port Harcourt Expressway, resulting in “10 people dead and 10 others hospitalised.”

The first crash, which took place around 9 a.m., involved a truck, a Toyota Corolla, a Foton bus, and a mini-bus.

The collision led to a fire, killing five occupants of the car and another passenger in the mini-bus.

A second crash later that day involved another truck and a tricycle, killing all four of its occupants.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Mamman Bitrus Giwa, described the crashes as “avoidable” and ordered a thorough investigation.
