Obi Holds Closed-Door Meeting With Jonathan In Abuja

On Thursday, Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential candidate, held a “closed-door meeting” in Abuja with former President Goodluck Jonathan.

Obi described Jonathan in a post on his official X account as his “elder brother, statesman, and leader.”

Obi stated that they had a “fruitful closed-door meeting” and discussed “national issues and the state of the country.”

In his post, Obi wrote, “Today in Abuja, I met with my very dear elder brother, statesman, and leader, former President Goodluck Jonathan @GEJonathan. We had a fruitful closed-door meeting and discussed the state of our dear nation. -PO.”

It was not immediately clear if the 2027 presidential elections were part of their discussion.
