A Kano chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and singer, Jadda Garko, has accused the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Femi Gbajabiamila, of sabotaging his chances for a federal appointment.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Garko alleged that he was deliberately prevented from getting an appointment after the office “falsely inform[ed] President Bola Tinubu that he was dead and buried.”
Garko said his political struggles began after he publicly demanded the rehabilitation of the Kaduna–Abuja expressway, a call he claims was ignored.

He stated, “Some have described my stance as fighting cabals because I advised the Minister of Works, David Umahi, to rehabilitate the Kaduna–Abuja expressway. Every Northerner who knows what is right ought to support that.”
He lamented that while his initial calls were ignored, the government responded when a similar demand was made by opposition leader Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso.
He alleged that his name, submitted for a federal appointment, was “deliberately suppressed in the Chief of Staff’s office” after he was linked to Hon. James Abiodun Faleke.
He declared, “They told the President that I am already dead and buried. But the time will come when God willing, that we will meet the President at a public gathering and their bad envy will be exposed.”
Despite the alleged sabotage, Garko “bears no regrets” for supporting Tinubu.
He said, “We promoted Asiwaju with pure intentions. We have no regrets. Whether or not I have an appointment, I will continue to work as best I can.”
The APC loyalist also dismissed rumors of his planned defection, insisting that his loyalty to Tinubu remains intact.
He stressed that his support is not tied to personal gains and that his “gaze has always been forward. My vision fixed on what lies ahead.”
