Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, will address residents in a statewide broadcast “on Friday.”
Addressing journalists at the Government House in Port Harcourt, he said he would speak to Rivers residents “at 6 p.m.” and confirmed, “We are going to the state by 6 p.m.”
The governor thanked residents and supporters for the “show of love since Thursday.”

He said, “I’m really humbled by what I saw at the airport. “That reception erally humbled me. It showed love, confidence, and solidarity,” and added that the support “reflected the bond between the people and the state government.”
Governor Fubara arrived at the Government House with his wife, key stakeholders, and security heads, including his Chief of Staff, Edison Ehie.
Upon arrival, he inspected his official residence before proceeding to his office.
