What Fubara Did To Ibas

In his statewide broadcast upon resuming office on Friday, the reinstated Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, avoided mentioning the name of Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ibas (rtd), Sole Administrator of the state.

Ibas had been in charge since Fubara was suspended, along with his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and the House of Assembly members, after President Bola Tinubu “declared emergency rule in the state on March 18, 2025.”

During his broadcast, the governor appreciated President Bola Tinubu for his “intervention in the crisis, as well as Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio; the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Abbas Tajudeen; and the “members of the National Assembly.
