Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has arrived at the Presidential Villa in Abuja for a visit to President Bola Tinubu.
This is Fubara’s first official visit to the State House since his reinstatement as the governor of Rivers, which came after a six-month emergency rule in the state.
The governor arrived at the villa alone at approximately 6:20 p.m. on Monday.

Fubara, his deputy, and members of the State House of Assembly were suspended from office on March 18, 2025, by the President following political unrest.
Tinubu later announced the end of the emergency rule on September 17, 2025.
In a previous statewide broadcast, Fubara had expressed appreciation to the President for intervening in the crisis in Rivers State, saying he remained eternally grateful.
Although the actual reason for his visit to the villa was not yet public, it may not be unconnected to his reinstatement by Tinubu.
